Mrs. Melissa Hadder, Principal

I am so blessed to serve as the principal of Berry Middle School. Prior to Berry Middle, I served as the principal of Simmons Middle School and Shades Mountain Elementary School.

During my career in public education, I was the Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Instruction at Spain Park High School in the Hoover City School System for five years. Before that, I worked in other school districts in Alabama as a band and music teacher, a school counselor, and an assistant principal. My professional experiences have allowed me to work with students in all grade levels, Kindergarten through twelfth grade. I enjoy working with students to help them set goals, identify obstacles to their academic achievement, and then overcome them to achieve their goals.

At Berry Middle School, we actively create and cultivate a positive learning environment for everyone. We are all focused on helping students achieve. Conversations among faculty and students are encouraging and focused on learning. Each person is proud to be associated with this school. We are a family at Berry Middle School.

I have a Bachelor’s degree from Troy State University, a Master’s in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama, and a Master’s Certificate and Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Montevallo. Please contact me via email.
